Drone sightings at London airports have caused serious problems for security and a disruption for passengers. The laws have been updated to increase safety.
Combined with this the airports are now employing military grade anti-drone protection. We don’t know exactly what this includes but there are a variety of systems that are designed to neutralise errant drones, these include; powerful lasers that can literally melt a drone to cause it to fail, ‘police drones’ that can track and catch ‘bad’ drones with spiderman style nets.
There are also new systems that can identify the location of the pilot.
